Join Our Mission!

You and your dog can help those in need! We are looking for both canine and human volunteers to join the mission as pug therapy volunteers in or near Oceanside, CA. If you don't have a dog, or are not sure your dog is a good fit for Canine Therapy consider joining us anyway! You could help out with events and other activities. REQUIREMENTS: All volunteers must take a free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course either taught by Sibelia or in person OR online with Mental Health America San Diego. MHFA Course info and sign up is here.

What Makes a Great Therapy Dog?

REQUIREMENTS: All dogs and owners must pass the Canine Good Citizen Test in order to become a Pug Therapy Volunteer This 10-skill test teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. This is to ensure that our canine therapists are ready to help the community in a safe, effective way! See how to find a CGC trainer/tester here.
