Dr. Sibelia introduces Pug Therapy and why she created our organization.
At Pug Therapy, our goal is to provide canine therapy services to people in need. We believe that everyone can benefit from canine therapy, and want to expand our outreach to as many groups and communities as possible near Oceanside, CA. We also have a satellite operation in Portland, Oregon!
At Pug Therapy, our core values are passion, dedication, and service. We are committed to spread the love and joy that dogs provide to every group in the community. This includes schools, assisted living homes, nursing homes, resource centers, community events, and more. Our work is guided by our goals to celebrate every diverse corner in the community by fostering happiness, healing, and doggy love.
We have two programs: Animal Assisted Interventions and Animal Assisted Therapy. AAI is for folks who might not have access to dogs at their home or program. AAT is specialized mental health services whereby Dr Chaiyahat will visit with her pug.

Dr. Chaiyahat is the president and founder of Pug Therapy. With nearly 30 years of experience as a mental health therapist, her goal is to help people heal through canine therapy. Her office is in Oceanside, California.

Dogs: Freyja and Petros

Freyja is a 7 year old pug who completed her Canine Good Citizen training and certification. She loves cheese, belly rubs, and working in Dr Chaiyahat's office.
Freyja struggles with ADHD and food insecurity at times. She likes to give humans spontaneous French kisses!

Petros is a 7 year old pug who recently passed his Canine Good Citizen test. He's looking forward to serving more people and giving lots of kisses!
Petros struggles with PTSD so he has had to take a break at times from his work with Dr Chaiyahat. When his symptoms are better he loves to cuddle with clients on the couch and get butt rubs.
